Arenac County Historical Society 
Strives to preserve Arenac County’s history for the public and researchers. The Arenac County Historical Museum houses exhibits, artifacts, documents, and memorabilia dating from Arenac’s first settlements to the current time. Its preservation project, Ye Olde Courthouse Masonic Hall Museum, is home to memorabilia and sources for the county’s first courthouse, and the former Masonic Lodge, Northeast Michigan Baseball League, “Settlement of Arenac,” and Arenac Eastern School District. Open summer hours and visits by appointment available.

HURON SHORES GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY
Established in 1982, the Huron Shores Genealogical Society (HSGS), Iosco County Michigan has compiled over 1,400 indexes containing over 1.6 million indexed names. Most of these indexes can be accessed via the main HSGS index page. HSGS Newsletters are also availble online. HSGS is located in the Parks Library in Oscoda Michigan.
